Trip to the Science Center
Memories can't be forgotten,it was just erased and i guess that today won't be forgotten. Today,the primary six level went to the Science Center to do some extremely fun activites to get our mind off the exam papers which was set higher than the expection. I know that i might seem unfair by saying that but i just believe that there will be lots of failures for math,especially.
Half of my class failed the math paper,i know it sounds embarassing but i believe that this paper was set to wake our sleepy minds up. PSLE is around the corner,and there are some boys who still have disclipne problem and teachers needed to handle with them which can take up our lesson time. Anyway,today was a blast. It at least got my mind off the stinkin paper. We actually had our own groups but then my teacher decided that she should arrange the groups for us. So,we had to line up according to height and that will be our group. There are 4 of us in the group only and maybe i have to think that im the odd one out. We took off at 8:30am sharp and the moment we stepped into the bus,no one spoke a word,im guessing that its because of the tragic news my teacher told us just now. After a few minutes,noises started to gather up. Soon,we were at the Science Center. The whole trip maybe took about an hour or so but we reached there peacefully without any problems.
The first thing we do when we reached was to have our break. We gathered around the exit of the Science Center and ate there. Some of my classmates,were in tears,after knowing the marks of their exams while some of them were just carrying smiles on their faces and fascinated by how a machine works. For me and my friend,we just mixed with the crowd. Just mixed emotions. We were both wondering if we done badly for our exam or we did well. Most probably badly. It wasn't possible that we can do so good,afterall,we aren't experts. The break was only half an hour and it ended out with a twinkle of the eye. We lined up in our groups again and sadly,my crush wasn't in my group instead in my best friend's group but i didn't mind at all. I trusted her and i believe she wouldn't do anything that bad,right ?
After lining up and waiting for a couple of minutes,we went in the Science Center. We were fascinated and were feeling really excited. The air-conditioned room was full of colors and decorations. We stepped into the authorium and listened to a guide about what we had to do for the 'Gallery Hunt'. It was a activity,where we get to 'travel' around the Science Center in groups and find the answers for the questions on our worksheet. Having heard his explanaion,we set off and looked at the first question. We went to the area we were supposed to go and then ran around the places. The boys were whining all the way saying that we should slow down,but me and my friend just continued running. We were having tons of fun. We climed stairs,run there and also fell. The hunt was about 45 minutes and i guess it was pretty long. We finished it earlier than expected so we went to the place where we were supposed to meet. Some of my classmates were already there chilling,chatting and even discussing answers.
My group settled down quickly and waited for the teacher to come and take us to the Eco Garden for the 'Eco Garden Trail'. In a moment or so,my teacher arrived and she told us clearly what we were supposed to do and leaders were told to take the worksheets for group members. The moment we heard the word 'Go',we raced to the Eco Garden and started hunting for our answers. It was once again,fun and we even got to discuss and travel with the another group which happens to be my crush's group. We climed up treehouses,get to know more about Nature and raced each other to see who was the fastest group. However,neither of our groups were the fastest. It was another group. We sighed and then gathered at the exit of the Science Center. When all of us were there,we immediately went to line up since the bus was coming. We got to explore a shop and even got to buy stuff.
Most of my classmates bought drinks and snacks but for me,i preferred to buy the same seashells in a box. They seemed like nice little shells recording every memory i had for the Science Center trip. It was pretty much like the Traffic Games but this was much more lamer. Even though its lame,i still got to learn lots of things and for the first thing got to experience what Science was really like. I've been to Science Center when i was younger but this trip was definately more memorable. Afterall,its good seeing our crushes smiling and laughing with their members right ?
Okay,we ended the trip pretty 'noisly',once we stepped into the bus,there was noise. I sat with my friend and packed my bag and sat at a corner and looked out of the frosted window to see the scenery. Memories flashed back and sometimes i realise that maybe being with other people aren't bad right ? Sometimes,we have to get to know more than we expected. Thats what happened in my maths exam and i really pray that i will at least pass. Its just like a terrifying nightmare that always repeats itself..
